The Nervous System
Tuesday, May 29, 2012
Your nervous system is one of the most complex systems in your body. It is the control and communication system of your body. It sends and receives messages, thereby controlling your thoughts and movements. A human’s nervous system is made up of two parts, the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system. Your central nervous system contains the brain, retina and spinal cord. The peripheral nervous system consists of clusters of neurons or ganglia, sensory neurons, and nerves connecting them to each other, and to the central nervous system. These regions are interconnected by complex neural pathways. Your nervous system is one of the most important components to your body's health, or state of being unhealthy. Therefore, it is critical to take excellent care of your entire nervous system.
Our clinic uses a “unique approach” to looking at your nervous system and disease. We describe a process by which the spinal cord meninges become entangled with the spinal column called Adverse Mechanical Tension. This stretches nerves causing a decreased signal from the brain to the body, resulting in diseases relating to blood pressure, heart rate, digestion, breathing, energy production, immune function, cholesterol levels and cell repair. Early signs of this disorder may include neck pain, back pain, headaches, weakness, pain down the arms or legs, fatigure, shortness of breath and/or poor posture. Your chiropractor can relieve these symptoms by spinal adjustments and teaching you therapeutic exercises. For a more detailed description of this, please see our main website at: http://mnwellnessinstitute.com/custom_content/c_236494_unique_approach.html. It will give you a clear picture on how the nervous system is an integral part of maintaining your good health.
